What the client wanted:

Harding & Yorke is a leading customer service consultancy. They wanted a new web site that reflected their professionalism and the level of blue chip client for whom they work.

They had an existing Flash site that also needed to be updated and amended so that it would become not just an archive site, but the new site’s ‘experiential’ section.

Most importantly, Harding & Yorke wanted complete control of the copy and images that would appear on every page.

Harding & Yorke needed us to:

  • Provide a new site that looked professional and would make blue chip clients feel ‘at home’ when viewing it;
  • Design and build a content management system that gave them control over the entire site.
  • Include search engine optimisation in the design;
  • Edit and add to the exiting Flash site, ultimately incorporating it into the XHTML site;
  • Provide a hosting solution and email facility that tied in with their exiting Microsoft Exchange server.

What we did:

  • Developed a design concept for the new site that would not only fulfil the required aesthetic requirements, but also one that Harding & Yorke could adapt and update;
  • Produced the main site in XHTML and CSS that was W3C compliant;
  • Worked on existing Flash site and provided new files for some areas to change it from one that needed updating on a regular basis to one that is now a stand-alone, experiential section of the new site;
  • Constructed a bespoke content management system (CMS) that allowed for every page to be updated including new sites, people, right and left bar content as well as a video library;
  • Provided documentation and training for the CSM to head of IT;
  • Provided a hosting solution and email facility that tied in with Harding & Yorke’s exiting Microsoft Exchange server.

What the outcomes were:

  • The publishing online of all Harding & Yorke’s thinking on the customer empathy arena, thereby assuring its position as a market leader and suitably differentiating it from the competition;
  • Return on investment – three new clients in the first six months due to what those clients’ initial impression of Harding & Yorke were from the web site.
